NATIONAL ANTHEM OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO
Composed by Patrick Castagne
This rendition by Victoria Sewell
Forged from the love of liberty,
In the fires of hope and prayer,
With boundless faith in our destiny
We solemnly declare:
Side by side we stand
Islands of the blue Caribbean Sea,
This our native land
We pledge our lives to thee.
Here every creed and race
Finds an equal place,
And may God bless our nation.
Here every creed and race
Finds an equal place,
And may God bless our nation.

NATIONAL ANTHEM OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO [Olympic Version / Versión Olímpica - 2004]
Originally composed as the national anthem for the short-lived West Indies Federation , this song was adopted by Trinidad and Tobago when it became independent in 1962.
"Patria est communis omnium parens" - Our native land is the common parent of us all. Keep it beautiful, make it even more so.
Blessed is all of creation
Blessed be my beautiful people
Blessed be the day of our awakening
Blessed is my country
Blessed are her patient hills.
Mweh ka allay!
