Mih great-great-grandmother, Mistress Rubble
Teach me proverbs and put me in trouble [I wouldn't lie]
Mih great-great-grandmother, Madam Rubble
Teach me proverbs and get me in trouble
She say, "How you make your bed, so you lie."
And "You never miss the water 'til well run dry."
The proverb that really trap me, my friend
Is when she told me that, "The longest rope have an end."

So the next day, I went by mih partner, Pope
I look on the ground, see a piece of rope
I pull the rope 'til mih hand get corn
Well, I never see rope long so since I born
But coming to the end when I raise mih head
I had to take off and bawl out, "Oh gorm, I dead!"
The proverb she taught me was so awful
Because the next end of the rope was a big pitbull.

Oh mih lord-o! I wanna fall! Sing it out, girls!

Mih great-great-grandmother does call me stupid
Dotish, ignorant and too insipid
She say none of she other great-great-grandchildren
Never give she horrors, heartache and problem
She say, "More you live is the more you learn."
And, "If you play with fire, you will get burn."
Mih great-great-grandmother then said to me
Bomber, darling, "The best things in life are free."

So I hire a truck and went down by Courts
Looking for the best things of every sort
I pick up a computer, well, how you mean?
Radio, video, stereo, TV, washing machine
And when the store manager confronted me
I say, "Partners, the best things in life are free."
But they call the police and lock up mih tail
And they give me some free years in the Royal Jail.

Oh mih lord-o! I wanna fall! Sing it out, girls!

Mih great-great-grandmother, she so demanding
She have wisdom, knowledge and understanding
But all of dem proverbs wey she does teach me
Is just like adding fire to fury
She told me to practice the things she preach
And never hang mih hat wey granny can't reach
Mih great-great-grandmother told me, have faith
Because "Good things does come to those who wait."

So I make a date with a  nice woman
For half past eight, to meet me by Strand
I wait, I wait, then I start to grind
Because half past eight reach to half past nine
When she and she sweet man walk up to me
She say, "Bomber,  my dear, I am so sorry."
She man pull out a bullpistle, tell me, "Run fast!"
After waiting so long, I get a good cut arse.

Oh mih lord-o! I wanna fall! Sing it out, girls!

Mih great-great-grandmother so miserable
She always have a disadvantage on people
She say everybody does treat she funny
And all they want to get from she is she money
She say, "Before you walk, you have to creep."
And always remember "Goat doh make sheep."
And poor people in this world today to survive
You have to "Play dead to catch corbeau alive."

So the next day, I went down on the La Basse
Playing dead to catch corbeaux when they pass
They say, "What you sow, is that you does reap."
I play dead too long so I fall asleep
Is then I feel a burning below mih waist
With six corbeaux staring me in mih face
They search mih pocket, take out everything
And they playing tug-o-war with my ding-a-ling.

Encore #1
Mih great-great-grandmother is a psychic
She does do clairvoyance and black magic
She have a chronic dose of schizophobia
She told me that the road to success is obeah
She say, "All wey jump in the sea is shark."
And "A chop in water never leave mark."
Mih great-great-grandmother told me that night
"All wey happen in the darkness must come to light."

So the next night, I check on mih wife, Susan
She was in the dark with another man
I say, if all my gangan told me is right
I bound to see wey going on in dey tonight
So I put on every light inside of the house
To see what was going on with my spouse
The both of them steups, take off the light and gone
So up to now I ent see if I getting horn.

Encore #2
Mih great-great-grandmother, she does tell me
Not to sing no encore for anybody
But if I have to sing encore for mih audience
Just make sure that it enhance my performance
She say more you sing, the more they go call
And "The higher you climb, is harder you fall."
So "Who have cocoa in sun, could look out for rain."
But if you call me, I ent coming back again.

Encore #3
Mih great-great-grandmother is a lady
She does always say, "No ifs, no buts, no maybe."
But to tell you the truth, I am so glad to know
That you appreciate the Bomber calypso
So let us give the band a round of applause
And to come back back again is left to yours
When I tell you the truth, you go say is shame
If you call me, I NOT coming back again!
