REMEMBER
By Lord Creator

The clothes you wear and the food you eat
Man, how life was going sweet
You went to school and you learn a lot
Since you was a tiny tot
So please, do not forget
I say, how all these things you come to get
Since you was in your cradle
Your mother and your father was responsible.

Remember when you couldn't even walk?
Remember when you couldn't even talk?
I say, remember who, who used to wash your clothes for you
Who used to wipe your nose for you
Who used to hug and kiss you
I say, remember who, who used to change your diaper
Who used to find your supper
Don't forget was your mother and father.

Remember when things was going fine
With not a worry on your mind
And when things wasn't so good with you
Was the first ones you would run to
So how could you forget
And up to now, you can't pay back yet
Try from now 'til forever
You could never pay back your mother and father.

It have some fathers ent good at all
They never mind you when you were small
But never mind how your father bad
You shouldn't take it on too hard
Try to understand what would be your position
If  wasn't for your Daddy
You would never, never have a dear Mummy.

Oh-oh, oh yeah, alright, yes sir...

Although it is my intention to faithfully transcribe I do not get all the words and I have a knack for hearing the wrong thing. A Note From The Gull

Thank you, Lord Creator.

"Patria est communis omnium parens" - Our native land is the common parent of us all. Keep it beautiful, make it even more so.

Blessed is all of creation
Blessed be my beautiful people
Blessed be the day of our awakening
Blessed is my country
Blessed are her patient hills.

Mweh ka allay!

As a child I was taught this. Now that I have children of my own and is privy to the love and respect that they give their mother and myself I feel blessed. This song is still applicable for the generation today and I hope that they listen to rhe lyrics carefully. Thanks again.

So glad, Trini Killer12, that you also cherish the sentiments expressed in this song by Lord Creator. Long live filial piety and the singers who share positive messages which promote love and respect in general. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and to express your gratitude. It means a lot to me.
Blessings,
Guanaguanare

Unknown, thank you for your comment.
Sometimes only time can teach and for many of us it is only when we become parents that we begin to fully appreciate what our own parents did for us. Sparrow's "Mother's Love" goes well with this song.
Blessings,
