Uploaded by Roger Ramirez

MR. HONKEY
By Lord Kitchener

Big, big trouble come hear it, it ent me and I 'fraid
A male Donkey fo' day morning, running wild in Cascade
An Englishman was then passing, he say, "Why this Donkey should roam?"
"Poor animal starving." so he decided to take it home.

The Donkey bawl...

"Take me back where you find me, I'm sorry, Mister Honkey
I didn't ask anybody for sympathy, you better make your son take me
I don't want no confusion, so help me, is that I say
The same place you find me, take me right back down dey!"

The Englishman start to tremble, the man frighten for so
To hear a Donkey talking English is no joke, as you know
So he sneak inside of his parlour to make a telephone call
He see the Donkey changing colour and growing tall, tall, tall,

And bawling..

"Take me back where you find me, I'm sorry, Mister Honkey
I didn't ask anybody for sympathy, you better make your son take me
I don't want no confusion, so help me, is that I say
The same place you find me, take me right back down dey!"

More trouble for honkey, the man out of his mind
When he see a big, fat Hen with Chicken running behind
So he run and open the back door, attempting to jump the wall
In the dark, he hear the voice of the Donkey, "Mister, mind you fall!"

"Take me back where you find me, I'm sorry, Mister Honkey
I didn't ask anybody for sympathy, you better make your son take me
I don't want no confusion, so help me, is that I say
The same place you find me, take me right back down dey!"

Poor Englishman bawling, "No! Anything else instead!"
When the Donkey tell him,  "Take off your clothes and lie down in bed."
So he turn and said to the Donkey, "Please tell me, do I have to?"
The Donkey say, "Doh worry, I coming to lie with you."

"Take me back where you find me, I'm sorry, Mister Honkey
I didn't ask anybody for sympathy, you better make your son take me
I don't want no confusion so help me, is that I say
The same place you find me, take me right back down dey!"

MY DONKEY WANT WATER
By MacBeth the Great [1946]

Hold him Joe, hold him Joe!
Hold him Joe but don't let him go!
Hold him Joe, I said, hold him Joe!
Hold him Joe but don't let him go!

Mih donkey want water [Hold him, Joe]
Better hide your daughter [Hold him, Joe]
When the donkey want water [Hold him, Joe]
He went 'round the corner. [Hold him, Joe]

When he's on a journey, he does go straight
You can bet your life, he's a heavyweight
This donkey of mine, he don't like no weight
When you put him in the cart, he never walk ---------.

When he want his water [Hold him, Joe]
When mih donkey want water [Hold him, Joe]
You better hide your daughter [Hold him, Joe]
Oh, when mih donkey want water. [Hold him, Joe]

The whole thing, friends, is through jealousy
They want to take mih donkey from me
They want to put my donkey in pound for spite
Just because they know my donkey can fight.

When he want his water [Hold him, Joe]
Mih donkey want water [Hold him, Joe]
You better hide your daughter [Hold him, Joe]
When mih donkey want water. [Hold him, Joe]

Some people say that my donkey bad
Because he came from Trinidad
This donkey of mine, he wouldn't work at all
All he does is break the boards out the stall.

When he want his water [Hold him, Joe]
You better hide your daughter [Hold him, Joe]
Oh, when the donkey want water [Hold him, Joe]
Oh, when mih donkey is thirsty [Hold him, Joe]
Yes, mih donkey want water [Hold him, Joe]
When the donkey want water [Hold him, Joe]
Oh yes, the donkey is thirsty [Hold him, Joe]
When mih donkey want water [Hold him, Joe]
You better hide your daughter [Hold him, Joe]

Agouti [Song]

AGUITI (AGOUTI)
By Lord Invader

Yes, 'Gouti in the woods, 'Gouti in mih yard
We have male and female 'Gouti in Trinidad
'Gouti in the woods, 'Gouti in mih yard
We have male and female 'Gouti in Trinidad.

When a 'Gouti is running to hide
He shove his head in a hole, leave his body outside
Talk 'bout 'Gouti in making accusations
About certain calypsonians
I ain't no angel, so you don't need glasses to see
If I am a 'Gouti, they never catch me.

Are you the Panther? Not, not me.
Are you the Tiger No, not me.
Are you Attila? No, not me.
Your name is Lord Pretender? Yes, that's me!

Yes, they got some female 'Gouti at large
Their real hiding hole is Carenage
Susie, she head the list
And with Sam, she is the mistress
Black-mouth Norma and St. James Pearl
They are the best 'Gouti in the world
They can tour Martinique, France or Italy
No one can beat them in playing 'Gouti.

Is your name Elsie? No, not me.
Are you Dorothy? No, not me.
Are you Milly? No, not me.
Well, your name is Susie? Yes, that's me!

Yes, they got some 'Gouti in Port of Spain
I am  ashamed, but I must call some of their name
Their features looking innocent
You can find some around the calypso tent
They so brass face, shameless and bold
They shove their head in any kind of hole
To accuse them, you'll never give that a thought
And when you catch them, they will tell you, "Well caught!"

Are you the Terror? No, not me
Are you ----------? No, not me.
Are you Beginner? No, not me.
Your name is Lord Kitchener? Yes, that's me!

Are you Alfred? No, not me.
Are you Wilfred? No, not me.
Are you Dondred? No, not me.
Your name is George dead? That's me!

Sly Mongoose [Song]

Uploaded by roger ramirez

SLY MONGOOSE
By Lord Invader

There was a competition in America
With Houdini and Destroyer
Destroyer sang "Adolf Hitler"
And yet they said that Houdini was the winner.

What he won with? - Sly Mongoose, all together!
Only dog know your name, sing the chorus!
Sly Mongoose, everybody, only dog know your name
Yes, Mongoose went into the white man kitchen
Took up one of his fattest chickens
Push it in his waistcoat pocket, sly Mongoose.

So he then challenge the Growler
And the Growler sang a hot number
Growler told the Houdini
He's gonna win him with this melody,

What it was?

Old lady, you’re mashing my toe,”
Old lady, stop it isn’t...

And yet he won him with - Sly Mongoose, everybody!
Only dog know your name, sing it Macbeth!
Sly Mongoose, only dog know your name
Yes, Mongoose went into the white man kitchen
Took up one of his fattest chickens
Push it in his waistcoat pocket, sly Mongoose.

So as I’m the Lord Invader,
I said, “I can’t lose my name in America.
I entered the competition,
And I sang a hot composition.

What it was?

Prisoner leve | Prisoner arise
Mete limier bai... | Put a light on...

And yet he won me with - Sly Mongoose, everybody!
Only dog know your name, Duke of Iron!
Sly Mongoose, only dog know your name
Yes, Mongoose went into the white man kitchen
Took up one of his fattest chickens
Push it in his waistcoat pocket, sly Mongoose...
