SAVING FOR COMPANY

By Lord Nelson

Woman, I tired talking to you
I don't like this thing you does always do
I say I tired talking to you
Hear some of the things this woman does do
I does have to work so hard for my money
All she putting on the table for me is rum
Like she find that whiskey too good for me
She say she saving that 'til company come.

I can't touch a glass in the cabinet
[Saving that for company]
She buying knife and fork, we can't use it yet
[Saving that for company]
The food that she buy with my salary
[Saving that for company]
Even toilet paper for the lavatory
She say she [saving that for company.]

This woman does really have me confuse
All kind of old things I have to use
She buying a set of things everyday
And as she come inside, she hide them away
Don't know how she know we go live tomorrow
Can't see why the Hell we can't use them now
Everything I touch, she telling me "No!"
And if I only use them she making row.

Though we have blanket, I catching cold
[Saving that for company]
Drinking soup from cup although we have bowl
[Saving that for company]
Them nice negligee hang up on the rack
[Saving that for company]
In the night when I touch she, she turn she back
Like she saving that for company.

This house does be dirty all through the year
Only Christmas and Easter she cleaning here
She have the floor shine with wax and shellac
I can't come through the front, I must use the back
She --------put down, she carpet display
I can't even rest my back on a chair
I have to take off my shoes when I pass through there
And I am the working company here.

I fanning coal pot and stove under bed
[Saving that for company]
I eating biscuit, I know we have bread
[Saving that for company]
Don't care how you beg for my property
[Saving that for company]
From now on I go keep all my salary
And I go save it from your company!

A Note From The Gull

Thank you, Lord Nelson! Real tears. And I laughing even harder because I am remembering my friend, whose mother used to tell them not to use and eat certain things because they were for "people." Their answer would always be, "So we ent people too???" Ha ha!!

"Patria est communis omnium parens" - Our native land is the common parent of us all. Keep it beautiful, make it even more so.

Blessed is all of creation
Blessed be my beautiful people
Blessed be the day of our awakening
Blessed is my country
Blessed are her patient hills.

Mweh ka allay!
