SCATTERED AND SMALL
By Amelia Curran
I was so alive I can only look back
Longer than a legend, larger than a fact
Oh, I was so alive I can only look back
And I was so afraid I have traveled so far
Blaming the horizon, and shouting at the stars.
Oh, I was so afraid but I've come so far
Oh, I was so afraid but I've come so far.
And when it's all over you won't know
Just when you're coming, from when you go
And maybe somebody's gonna let you down
But you take your chances, if you only learn how.
And I was so alone and scattered and small
But you keep 'em on a level, you let the devil on call
Oh, I was so alone I'm scattered and small
Oh, I was so alone I'm scattered and small.
And when it's all over you won't know
Just when you're coming, from when you go
And maybe somebody's gonna let you down
But you take your chances, if you only learn how.
Oh, I was so alone, I'm scattered and small
Oh, I was so alone, I'm scattered and small

Although it is my intention to faithfully transcribe I do not get all the words and I have a knack for hearing the wrong thing. Please feel free to correct me or to fill in the words that I miss by dropping me a message via e-mail. I'd be forever grateful. Thanks in advance! ..............................................................................................................................
A Note From The Gull
Thank you, Amelia Curran.
Circumstances will sometimes let you down, put you down and try to keep you down, but you do not have to accept that sentence, not for too long anyway. The world is vast and when you find yourself scattered and small in this big world, all it means is that you are being asked to learn how to find the endless little places, passions, possibilities and people in which you can find your shelter. You take your chances.
"And maybe somebody's gonna let you down
But you take your chances, if you only learn how."
"Patria est communis omnium parens" - Our native land is the common parent of us all. Keep it beautiful, make it even more so.
Blessed is all of creation
Blessed be my beautiful people
Blessed be the day of our awakening
Blessed is my country
Blessed are her patient hills.
Mweh ka allay!
